Lydia is a Haitian-American native of Brooklyn, New York, raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and now residing in Metro Atlanta.
Some may say she was your stereotypical Caribbean, being raised in a culture where the social system in Haiti offers limited support. People have to work for what they've got, and Haitian people tend to be industrious, imaginative, resourceful, and contrary to another unwelcome stereotype – hardworking. Though born in Brooklyn, NY, this was not lost on Lydia. Her father, Isaac Pierre, embodied all of the above-referenced characteristics and was one who turned every task he attempted into a business venture of sorts. A self-taught and quite exceptional mechanic by trade, she watched her father do everything from video production for the church community, chauffeur, house repair, and even dabble in the trucking business, yet he still managed to be known as one of the most popular and funniest people in the community.
It seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because not only did Lydia inherit her father's looks (the resemblance is uncanny), she showcases qualities and talents that are similar. She had various jobs and roles throughout her academic and professional career that have helped her become more diverse in her experiences. She went from doing hair at 12 years old for members of her church community by walking to their homes, to providing services to her father, eventually building a home salon for herself in the basement of their family home, as he preferred she be somewhere safe. She later went on to become a licensed cosmetologist and, while that was what she was known for, she simultaneously became a self-taught billing specialist and office manager at a chiropractic office, a venture that started when she became their driver as soon as she got her driver's license at 16 years old. While juggling those two careers, she started planning and decorating weddings after successfully putting together her own engagement extravaganza all by herself at 19.
In 2009, her mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. In an effort to expand her team and make time to be her mother's primary caretaker, Lydia founded Blessed Occasions Traveling Salon & Spa in 2010, which was a callback to how she got started traveling to clients' homes, but this time, with a luxurious appeal.
Due to the owners' dependency issues, she found herself "packaging" her individual team members' talents and skills in a way that made her very loyal clientele feel comfortable with being serviced by new providers. She didn't realize it at the time, but by putting together portfolios, pictures, and bios to showcase how skilled they were, she was essentially "branding" her team. This is how Ur Beauty Liaison was born, and she started the "Art of Branding." When she first started as UrBeautyLiaison, it was with a simple premise: Advocate for industry professionals and help make available to them the resources needed to have an exciting, active, and long career while educating each professional about the importance of branding and networking. Word spread, and beauty professionals from New York to Atlanta were contacting her to help put them together and book job opportunities that would help boost their reputation. Lydia started getting herself and those she now represented into all kinds of fashion and beauty events and shows, including New York Fashion Week.
After her mother passed away in 2012, Lydia relocated to Georgia to get away and get a fresh new start. Parlaying her networking skills and newfound love for helping people "brand" themselves, she started working as the public relations specialist at a nonprofit that her "Auntie" started back in Philadelphia and expanded to Georgia. Not only did this "Auntie" know her mother, but she practically helped raise and mentor her through her middle and high school years. She became her second mom.
While working there, in an effort to help them spread the word about the non-profit organization, Lydia had them join the local chamber of commerce. Once the opportunity presented itself, Lydia applied for and became the Director of Communications at that very same Chamber of Commerce in 2014.
Prior to moving to Georgia, she worked as a Medical Billing specialist at Disston Chiropractic in Philadelphia for nearly eleven years. After relocating to Georgia in 2012, she served as the Public Relations Specialist for the Family Support Circle, a non-profit organization providing Afterschool and summer enrichment programming for children in need. She represented the interests of the organization in the community and taught Abstinence Education to the Middle School participants as a certified WAIT Trainer. In addition, she was the Youth Program Coordinator and Mandated Reporter. She also oversaw the organization's Plan of Action Committee and Public Relations Committee by identifying and supporting volunteers and candidates for various positions. She now serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Family Support Circle, Inc.
In 2014, Lydia was brought on as the Director of Communications at the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, after years of managing email campaigns for small businesses & Entrepreneurs in New York, Philadelphia, and Atlanta. Her foundation in public relations, in addition to her experience with small businesses and non-profits, contributes to her passion for helping organizations succeed. As the Director of Communications at the Chamber, Lydia developed and oversaw the marketing and communications strategies for the Chamber, including those related to community initiatives, education, and workforce development. She has also gained political experience by working on numerous campaigns in Georgia at the local level.
While working at the Chamber, Lydia authored the book entitled, "The Art of Branding: A Simple & Practical Guide to Understanding the Branding Process" in 2015. The book was a short and simple guide that answered some of the most frequently asked questions about personal branding and why it is an important piece of any entrepreneur's life today. The idea was to position herself as an expert while positioning herself to launch her own personal brand. The book is available on Amazon.com.
Through her affiliation with the chamber, Lydia became active as a leader in the business community and was named the chair for the One Henry Arts & Leisure Subcommittee in 2016. One Henry is a collaborative effort of various citizens, community groups/businesses, and the Henry County Chamber of Commerce for economic advancement. This was an initiative founded by the chamber where the CEO of Heritage Bank was the Chair of the entire initiative. The Arts & Leisure Subcommittee, which Lydia chairs, is one of five subcommittees working under the One Henry header in an effort to move the county in a positive direction by focusing on key areas vital to strengthening economic viability and prosperity throughout Henry County. It was through this opportunity that Lydia stepped up and showcased her skills as the Chair of the Arts & Leisure Committee. Two years later, Lydia then leveraged that opportunity and the relationships formed and transitioned into working as a Marketing Specialist at Heritage Bank.
In January 2018, Lydia became a member of the Board of Directors for the Henry Arts Alliance whose mission is to improve the quality of life in Henry County and the Southern Crescent (Henry, Clayton, Fayette, Butts, Newton, Rockdale, and Spalding and surrounding counties) by creating awareness, stimulating interest, and encouraging local involvement in the arts.
In the midst of all that, Lydia graduated as part of the 2018 Leadership Henry Class, which is a leadership development program sponsored by the Henry County Chamber of Commerce that engages emerging and existing leaders in a nine-month program that broadens their knowledge of community issues, sharpens their leadership skills, and challenges themselves and others to seek solutions to those issues affecting our communities. Equipped with more knowledge and skills, Lydia decided to transition out of her role at the Henry County Chamber of Commerce and opened up her own branding and consulting firm called Pierre Branding Group or PBG.
Pierre Branding Group, LLC is a Brand Management, Consulting, Production, and Publishing Company founded by Lydia Pierre in 2018. The company began as simply a brand management service for executives and entrepreneurs. At the time, it was just her and her mentee and the then work-based learning student who was assigned to work with Lydia at the chamber for the past 2 years. It was located in Henry County until 2021, when its offices were moved to Atlanta due to closer proximity to Lydia's primary residence. With her support and assistance, Lydia was able to grow PBG into what it is today. A team of industry experts known as the Powerhouse of Consultants, who come together to deliver premium branding and business consulting services. Lydia and her team at PBG provide services aimed at empowering successful entrepreneurs and small business owners with skills and strategies to reach higher levels of leadership and expand their brand. Its involvements also include products for podcast production, personal branding, and published work related to Lydia and her personal brand, The Corporate Socialite®.
This transition occurred all while simultaneously taking on the role of Marketing Specialist (and Socialite) at Heritage Bank, an independent community bank with 6 branches serving Clayton, Henry & Fayette counties in Atlanta's Southern Crescent since 1955. While there, she launched PBG's first campaign, the Twelve @12 Mentorship Program, which was a Mentoring for Leadership Lunch Series pairing Mentors with Mentees in the business community and providing them with a forum for setting, discussing, and dissecting a path to leadership with someone who has walked that path before. The Mentors were handpicked by Lydia herself and consisted of Politicians, well-known Business Leaders, and C-Suite Execs on the local and state level. Some of the mentors included Senator Brian Strickland, Henry County Commissioner Chair, June Wood, GDot Board Member, Dana Lemon, and Heritage Bank's CEO, Leonard Moreland. Heritage Bank was actually the sponsoring partner for the Twelve @12, which spoke volumes to have her then employer also support her entrepreneurial efforts.
After a year and a half of working in that role and raising the bank’s brand awareness within the community alongside her own brand, Lydia transitioned once again, this time to working on and in Pierre Branding Group full-time, ready to help others do what she managed to do successfully. Transitioning from Executive to Entrepreneur all while keeping all relationships, connections, and most of all, her brand, intact.
In April 2018, Lydia began Pierre Branding Group, LLC., also known as PBG, a Brand Management, Consulting, Production, and Publishing Company that provided brand management services for executives and entrepreneurs. With just herself and her mentee at the time who believed in the vision. During the pandemic in 2020, their services shifted to helping businesses pivot into a virtual business model. With the success of that and the influx of clients, together they made the decision to take a chance and grow the team. Today, PBG is comprised of a network of industry experts known as the Powerhouse of Consultants, who come together to deliver premium branding and business consulting services. Each of these individuals is not only amazing at what they do, but as entrepreneurs, they each own their own company and brand. Being someone who collaborated and assisted many others in the industry while building her own reputation, it was always a dream of Lydia's to be able to provide a space where high-performing entrepreneurs and small business owners follow their dreams, all while furthering their own professional development. At PBG they can essentially build their own brand while being part of the PBG family without the fear of having it absorbed or fall away. She is a hands-on investor in many of her clients’ businesses, driving enormous change in the coaching, agency, and consulting industries with her unique business model.
Even with a complete rebrand and expansion of services from just beauty, the concept of educating each professional about the importance of branding and networking still holds true today. Now, when you become a client of PBG, we consider ourselves to be Ur Liaison in various industries.
Presently, Lydia is not only the Founder and CEO of Pierre Branding Group (PBG), she is the Senior Director of Brand Management.

In the corporate realm, success is often associated with affluence, influence, and entrepreneurial prowess. "When I started to brand myself as The Corporate Socialite® 5 or so years ago, I was clear that my purpose was to work at the highest level with high profile professionals and extraordinary experts who are brilliant at what they do but are not able to experience the benefits of their own greatness because they have become so focused on “the grind”, that they‘ve lost sight of themselves. I wanted to work with just a select few - and work deeply with them to help develop their professional and social networks in such a way that they not only begin attracting their highest-end deals and clients and therefore wealth and impact, but are able to do so all while living an extraordinary life. I have the distinct pleasure of being by your side as your partner, lifestyle coach, Plus One, and your Fun & Fabulous friend - in your business, social life and legacy….making impact.
